I, for one, will be staying tuned to this. I'm still looking for some definitive articles and examples of accessing Sharepoint from java using web services. Right now, there seems to be just bits and pieces of information on it. I work on an java-based EAI system and we're looking at integrating Sharepoint as one of the end-points.

Hi Matt,

I've been reading your blog about functional testing web services using Jmeter.

My idea for regression testing web services is to query the WS with a collection of variable inputs, strip the response of the data i require, then dump this data to a database. Taking advantage of JMeter's load generating functionality I can turn a previously serial implementation to a parallel one by getting JMeter to add more virtual users to get the job done quicker.
I think JMeter can do this.

Can JMeter take the response of a previous WS request and use it as input for the next request?
eg. call WS method Login(username, password) and it returns a security number
call WS method SearchForPhoneNumber(securityID,"555-1234") using the above security number.

My actual task includes requesting a "section heirarchy" and doing a breadth-first traversal of the milti-level xml tree resposne extracting inputs from each node for the next WS call "get image".

Maybe JMeter cant do this?

Thanks,
Mark

Is it some way to stop execution of current Loop iteration and switch to next one (if exist)?
Smth like SampleResult.setStopThread(true) for BeanShell, but for Loop instead of Thread.
TIA.
